Chris Jeter first became interested in sports at the age of five when his dad introduced him to baseball. As the years went by, that interest turned into a passion. He spent his childhood playing baseball, basketball, and soccer. When it became obvious that a career as a pro athlete was not in the cards, he turned to sports journalism. At his alma mater, the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) he covered sports for the school paper, The Retriever. He has also written for So Much Sports and Vavel USA, covering a variety of local and national sports. He also freelances as a sports writer for the Harford County section of the Baltimore Sun, The Aegis. His love of sports comes from his parents, but his love for the Ravens, Orioles, and Terrapins comes from his mother.
